Audi Parking System

The rear view camera in the A8 sedan offers the ability to see, in real time, the area in the rear of the car. While sensors on both the front and rear of the car utilize ultrasound waves to sense surrounding positions and warn of nearby hazards.

The rear trunk opens at the touch of a button and can be programmed to open at a specific height.

LED Ambient Interior Lighting

Sophisticated, advanced, stylish, and customizable; the interior LED lights highlight the cabin of the A8. One is able to select the brightness in four separate locations of the interior areas with a choice of ivory, polar or ruby lighting hues.

Power rear and rear side window sunshades

The A8 offers the convenience of operating the rear window sunshade by way of a power button The A8 L also offers rear side window sunshades.

Audi MMI Navigation plus with voice control system

MMI Navigation plus features a high-resolution, 8 inch, full-color LCD screen that is fully integrated with the dash and emerges from beneath the dash upon command. Powered by a 40-GB hard drive and a NVIDIA processor to enhance graphics, this latest generation of MMI is superior. In addition, Sirius XM Satellite Radio and SiriusXM traffic offer digital high definition radio with over 1,000 new stations.

Audi Music Interface with iPod/iPhone Integration

This synchronization offers sophisticated integration between iPod and iPhone with Audi's intuitive MMI system. Any iPod Generation 4 and higher can be connected via the glove box, providing full controls using the MMI input controls. This system also allows USB flash drive or conventional auxiliary audio input as well.

Audi Drive Select

An Audi exclusive functionality, this Drive Select system provides the advanced control abilities of changing the vehicle's adaptive suspension, steering responsiveness, transmission shifting characteristics, and engine performance. There are hundreds of driving configurations based on comfort, sport, auto, manual, or dynamic settings.

Bluetooth Preparation

The Bluetooth hands-free device allows you to sync you Bluetooth enabled mobile phone with your Audi and access your phonebook within the instrument display.

4.2 FSI Engine Specification

The aluminum design used for the 4.2 FSI engine is incredibly lightweight. The sophisticated FSI technology of the advanced 4.2 liter FSI V8 engine creates equilibrium between power and performance, with increased efficiency and vehicle dynamics. This powerful 4.2 FSI V8 is capable of propelling the A8 from 0-60 MPH in just 5.7 seconds.

Thermal Imaging

A first for road going technology, the A8 boasts night vision assistant. The core of this system features a thermal imaging camera sitting behind the famous Audi rings on the front of the car. A computer calculates this data into images and displays them on the display on the instrument panel.

Audi can look ahead up to nearly 1000 ft. depending on driving speed and conditions. The system reacts to heat energy and therefore people, cars, and animals are displayed bright while cool surfaces, such as the road itself, remain dark. Another innovative safety step made possible by Audi.
