The Audi A6 will be very distinctive on Atlanta's roads and highways. Its striking single-frame grille is highlighted by horizontal slats, high gloss black finish and chrome applications.

The design of the front lights have a stronger, sharper profile due to the juxtaposition next to the single frame grille.

Audi Pre Sense
Audi Pre Sense is a comprehensive technical package for identifying dangers well in advance and intervening appropriately. It categorises driving situations as critical or as an impending collision, with the aim of preparing the vehicle and its occupants as thoroughly as possible. Pre Sense does this by networking the various active and passive safety systems into a single, integrated safety system.

Smart Airbags
Adaptive technology improves on the original airbag concept significantly. In the event of a collision, the level of impact and the position of the seat are considered and the deployment force of the airbag is adjusted accordingly. Front and side airbags for both the driver and front passenger are available as standard across all A6 models.

Seat belts
If there's a head-on collision, the three-point inertia reel seat belts tighten to strap you to your seat more securely, limiting excessive movement caused by momentum.

Audi Night vision assistant with Pedestrian Detection
With the optional Night Vision assistant, an integral thermal imaging camera, discretely mounted in the front grill, significantly improves safety and comfort when driving at night. Helping drivers' spot hazards beyond the view illuminated by the headlight beam the thermal camera registers heat sources that are located near, or approaching, the route ahead.

Located in the Driver's Information System, between the speedometer and rev counter a camera's eye view of the road ahead is displayed to the driver.

The system will highlight people using their heat source. Typically a person standing by the side of the road would be highlighted in yellow, indicating they are outside of the vehicles route, however should the person start to walk towards the road the advanced image processing system will identify that they could walk into the car's path and will highlight them in red, providing additional warning to the driver.

A ride to suit you
Not all driving situations are the same. Audi drive select, standard across the A6 range, changes handling and response at the touch of a button to suit how you want to drive. There are four modes: Comfort, Dynamic, Auto and Individual.

Smooth transmission
The revolutionary S-tronic transmission combines the responsiveness of a manual gearbox with the convenience of an automatic. Thanks to innovative dual-clutch technology, S-tronic can make a gear change in just 0.2 of a second, with no interruption to the power flow, allowing you to benefit as fully as possible from the engine's output at all times, resulting in better fuel efficiency and lower CO2 emissions.

An S tronic gearbox is fitted as standard to 3.0TFSI quattro and 3.0TDI quattro derivatives of the A6. For long-distances, "Comfort" adjusts your set-up to create a more relaxing ride.

The "Dynamic" is for a sportier driving experience, sharpening the cars steering and throttle response.

The "Auto" mode adapts the system depending on the current driving situation while "Individual" allows you to configure the dynamics of the car to your own preferences depending on what special equipment is fitted.

Power assisted
The all-new 2012 A6 Sedan can be fitted with a range of practical power assisted functions, including a power assisted boot lid which provides easy opening and closing at the touch of a button.

The optional power-closure doors allows you to simply pull the door to, and at the last moment, an electric motor closes the door for you perfectly, every time. It is touches like these that make owning an Audi A6 Sedan such a pleasure.

Leather as standard
The Audi A6's extensive range of seat versions, upholstery and options make a clear statement about the quality of this exceptional car.

The standard front seats are by no means "standard", being trimmed in finest Milano leather upholstery and with the option of being electrically adjustable, heated, cooled or even offering a massage function.

Other options include a memory function for the driver which remembers 3 different seat configurations, including the door mirror and steering wheel settings.

Audi Seat Ventilation and Massage Function
Ventilation:

Seat ventilation is available as an option for front seats on both Standard seats and Comfort seats.

For Standard seats, 3 different intensities of cool air are blown through the seat to ventilate the center and thigh support sections.

For Comfort seats, cool air is drawn through the seat for active ventilation of the seat and thigh support sections. An ingenious technology with three speed settings transports the used air and moisture away from the occupants' body.

Massage:
The massage function is available as an option in conjunction with Comfort seats.

Using 10 pneumatic cushions, 5 different programmes (wave, pulse, stretch, lumbar and shoulders) and 4 levels of intensity, the massage function ensures that the seat occupant can manipulate the muscles they require.
